Why not send a friend to get Michael?

Isn’t it against the law for a mother to be sick?

No, but sometimes it feels that way!

It’s not just who’s gonna pick him up but having him home in the afternoon.

Connie works. How about Annie?

Annie may be busy or also sick. I have definitely been here! (we don’t have local friends/family). If my husband can get time off, it’s great. Otherwise, can’t be sick. The way of the world through all of time- parents do what they have to. It’s especially fun when the kids are sick too, which amazingly often happens at around the same time. But you get through it.

He tried… good job, John! Every bit helps, and hopefully Michael is old enough where he doesn’t have to be monitored every second of the day. Make him clean up whatever mess he makes.

Why didn’t they have Mike skip the stupid crafts class and go to the sitters with his sister? Too easy a fix, I guess. We posters are waaayyy smarter than Elly and John.

Ahhhh, memories of having small children. Sigh….

…and don’t forget to have lunch ready.

Or John could just re-arrange his schedule and stay home for a day.

I always thought I would be glad when my son got beyond the need of constant supervision. Now I miss him……
