I have to agree with John on this one. If they only wanted one, they would have gotten rid of the baby stuff and had someone’s plumbing fixed…

The late Erma Bombeck claimed she held onto the crib and layette long after her youngest child reached his teens.

She referred to it as “pregnancy insurance.” As soon as you give it away because you think you won’t need it anymore…

I always laugh when people call an unexpected pregnancy a “surprise”. C’mon, if you’re over 18, it shouldn’t be a surprise how having “unprotected fun” results in getting pregnant. If you don’t want to get pregnant, then take preventative actions.

@lightenup, if your wife is 51, and hasn’t had a period in 2 years, a pregnancy would be a surprise. But it has happened. (See Abraham and Sarah, Zachariah and Elizabeth, and occasionally modern couples.)

The good news is that sometime in the somewhat distant future, Elly will be able to borrow some baby paraphernalia from Annie…

Just because Anne was holding on to her first child’s old baby things doesn’t mean this was a planned pregnancy. First of all, a lot of people hold onto things from their kids’ childhood for nostalgia’s sake. Second, Anne could have been holding on to her first child’s baby things because she planned on passing them down to her future grandchild someday. And third, Anne looked pretty down and said she was “unsure for me” after telling Elly about her pregnancy … which tells me that it definitely wasn’t planned — at least now now, anyhow.

If you place the order, be prepared to take delivery.
