It’s all a matter or priorities.

Take heart- at least since you cleaned it up yourself you know where your beloved junk and clutter IS.

A boy in a neat room is like a fish out of water.

My sister, the slob when we were young, has turned into Mrs. Clean and NO piece of dust or dirt lives in her house. I love a neat clean house but I like a house that feels lived in.

I’ve never been able to understand neat freaks. Clean I get, but neat still eludes me. As long as one can find the right thing, what’s the problem?

My Mom found an instant cure — she made me keep my door closed so she wouldn’t have to see my clutter.Now, I keep my house neat and tidy with everything put out of sight. If I need something, I know I have it but I don’t know where it is.

But the junk and clutter was his way of showing off all his toys to his friends when they came to visit. Now he has no pride.

I like the phrase, “A place for everything and everything in it’s place.” Then you know where something is or ought to be, and you can find it right away. I hate having to hunt for things because my husband used it and put it somewhere else.

A few common sense rules to live by… if you open it, close it. If you turn it on, turn it off. If you drop it, pick it up. If you break it, hide it. ….wait, is that last one right? ; )

The outfit I’m staying with now lives by Mike’s credo . . .

I’ve noticed that too.

No house with children, pets, or bachelors stays clean for long.

@Susan, you commented yesterday that I must not have grown up with a real-life Elly Patterson. Well, yes I did. My mother was loving, kind, involved in our lives and interests, a great cook and a good housekeeper. These are all traits that Elly has shown over the years. Yes, she is portrayed yelling at John or the kids (Mom yelled at us too.) but you must remember the point I was making yesterday. This is a comic strip. Elly’s character is exaggerated beyond the norm because Lynn needs punchlines. As for her appearance, I am reminded of a line from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”. Jessica said “I’m not bad. I’m just drawn that way.”

All their junk and stuff is probably under the beds. lol

Organization is in the mind. If you can’t find something, it is the same as not having it.

It is so she can have prode in your room. parents dont care aboit your feelings just do as they say and smlie or else.
