Thanks for the info on the song. I haven’t heard it in a long time – and then on a show about old songs. Thanks too for the Spike Jones link! (Now that’s classical music!).
Michael and Lawrence were asleep in the last strip, now they are up and watching the party in broad daylight. Elly put them to bed too early, they were hardly pooped!
Duck, I think that your pronouncements about Lynn’s life, attitudes and personal relationships might go over better if you let people know that these are YOUR opinions, not fact.
It was taken from Lynn’s notes how she was angry at her parents for demanding she marry her husbands before consumating the relationships, yet her brother was shacking up for years before he tied the knot. When Lynn confronted her parents about it their attitude was “that’s different” in that he is a guy and that is the kind of reputation he’s earned. That is perfectly understandable, an example of parental hypocrisy. Even without family pressure, cohabitation is not a good idea as there are more divorces from those who cohabited or had babies out of wedlock as opposed to those who waited until after the wedding.

It’s a barbeque in the summertime. Let the kids stay up until they fall asleep and just dump ’em in bed.
