Michael aside, I do agree that teachers put up with a lot from kids and it’s only gotten worse compared to 30 years ago. I am also happy to give teachers a bit of relief when I can. No child is perfectly well behaved, and then when you multiply it times 25+, it is crazy.
@howtheduckYou’re actually Lynn Johnstons ex aren’t you?I’ve never seen anybody take a comic strip as seriously as you, especially a 30 year old comic strip. Reading your comments is often more entertaining than the actual strip.
I am agreeing with howtheduck today! As a former band parent, being involved in your child’s school interests is not a chore, and you get closer to other parents too, as well as your child.
Duck, I would have to agree that the band parents had a lot of fun with their kids at parades and shows. I was one of the band kids in high school, and my parents were both part of the “Band Boosters” organization. Both of them thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie of the group and helping out the kids.
Elly, you need to do a little math. Teachers have Mike 6 hours a day, 5 days a week — 30 hours total — and for 180 days a year. How many hours do you “have” him?

repeat after me: ’this is a comic strip, not a parenting guide" 20 times.

No,Elly they only have to do that 5 days a week and then Micheal gets 2 days of relief away from his P.E. teacher.

Duck, you’re as bad as Elly.

She should buy a lottery ticket today. Better odds than that note getting to the teacher.

I have to agree with howthe this time. I know it’s a comic, but I don’t think that an egregious, un-called-for putdown is funny at all.

not funny

Sorry, but it is a comic strip and I did laugh. People who insist on dissecting strips and taking them way too seriously take all the fun out of them.

ooooooh. what I started! Wasn’t trying to troll… we all have different experiences and different types of humor. That’s what makes this world spin…
