Grandparents can take about 3 days of this. At least that’s all we can take! And lord help us when all 6 of them are together. Thank goodness the oldest at 26 is on her own. Both teenagers at least have their noses in their phones. That leaves the little ones to run amok through the house. And you know, we love it!
Children can get rambunctious at airports..When my sisters and I were wee lasses waiting at LAX for my father to return from a business trip, we were stopped in our tracks when we saw Walt Disney himself !! We had seen him on TV every Sunday night.
I get to see all 7 of my grandchildren a couple of times a year, the rest of the time it is 1 or 2 at a time. The older ones and the tween ones all boys, usually are playing football or playing Nurf wars so I get to snuggle with my youngest two girls. But that is only for 1 day so I don’t get tired of them.
Oh John. I’m a step-grandma and understand your kids better than you do. After all, you raised them and they take after you don’t they? Their grand parents will love them no matter how they ‘act-up’.
What’s with the arm coming into the last panel from the left? It is too small and too low to be John’s right arm, even if the jacket is the same color. Kidnapper, maybe?
When you spend $1000-$3000 and 10 hours to travel across a vast continent, sadly you are in for more than a 3 day trip. My parents get 2 weeks a year (one there, one here), when we can afford it, and the ILs get about 4 weeks at their place, where we can drive for only $250 or so per trip.
I would be all for shorter visits, myself, but you know how that goes!

Works for us, both ways; after 3 days we’re ready to leave! Many of our friends operate the ‘fish rule’ too!
