Well, Connie and Lawrence are here. Can Annie and her children be far behind? Is someone out there preparing to eat a hat? Yum?

Jeeze. Connie was likely referring to Elly’s manners, her enthusiastic greeting with exaggerated compliments; that Elly still demonstrates the characteristics of which Connie had pleasant memories. It was a compliment, not, as some seem to think, a cheap shot.

Elly might take it the wrong way but I think it was a loving reference to how she always made her friend feel better about herself.

Considering how much I loathe “Baby What’s-his-name” I hope they don’t show up. Annie needs a tubal ligation since she obviously isn’t capable of teaching the ones she has how to behave. Seriously I have 2 girls and my sister has 2 boys. I don’t know if boys are harder to raise. My sister is older than me, hence her kids are older than mine. Both boys (now men) have been in jail, and never held a job longer than a few months. My girls (now women 23 & 25 sniff) graduated high school, the oldest has her B of A the youngest is a few credits shy of her Associates of Science. They are both married WITHOUT having children to men they knew for years prior. I know I am being very obnoxious right now, but I am so proud of them. They did better than I did, & that was all I wanted.

If I went to a school reunion and they told me I hadn’t changed a bit,(I was 220 pounds and terrible acne,) I would change them a lot! Call the medics! LOL!

Connie moved away to start a whole NEW life, she had to change. Ellie is still wife, mother, librarian and has no reason to change.

At my 10 year high school reunion, I was voted “most bald”. That was 35 years ago. Today my head stays shaved.

They are both trying to be nice and they are all thrilled to see each other. The ways things come out in the best of circumstances make for good comic fodder. Is it wrong to be happy for people who don’t exist?

Not at all. One often feels low and dull and even unattractive after a break-up. A makeover is just the thing to brighten things up.

Actually I love my sister. I worshipped her as a kid. She’s almost 8 years older than me, so she was my protector. She got married & moved away when I was 10. I have only seen her sporadically over the years (30+). I cannot condone my older nephew. He should be in prison. The younger one needs to make smarter choices.
