Older bothers: okay. Elder brothers: not okay.

If a kid says this, it may be because of something he saw in his own home. Was the mother abused by the father?

There is no connection between large families and nasty kids. I’ve encountered plenty of only kids who were spoiled rotten and treated other kids like punching bags…

My oldest brother was like Richard, jealous of the rest of us, and would do his best to hurt us. He was a twisted little soul, an older cousin tells me.

It is always wrong for a child to hit a sibling. Excuses such as culture, religion, country of residence, socioeconomic status, “that’s what happened so long ago” or copying what is seen on TV are all invalid.

Anne’s kids seemed to disappear as they got older. Gordon, Lawrence, Dawn and maybe Brian were still in the picture as adults.
