Don’t worry, Connie! I’m sure Lawrence will have no lasting emotional issues whatsoever!

This is Connie’s impression of the world, but we have seen none of it. Has there been even one strip featuring Lawrence moping about because Connie has been spending all her time with Molly and Gayle? Have there been any strips featuring Connie trying to spend time with Molly and Gayle? In stark contrast, Gayle in particular has been shown to be a helpful and courteous child, worthy of an Elly Patterson makeover. From what we have been shown as readers, I can’t tell if we are supposed to believe Connie, or realize that she is making a mountain out of a molehill.

I actually went through something like this with my mom when she remarried and her husband’s daughter came to live with us. We got along great when we met before but she was a slob and we shared a room together. I wasn’t a neatnik but I didn’t leave dirty dishes in the room until there was mold on the plates! My mom complained about the mess (and the smell and the bugs) so I tried keeping everything of mine picked up but that only gave my step-sister more room to throw all of her stuff around. My mom kept complaining to ME about the mess but not her. I finally said to my step-sister, “let’s divide the room in half and you keep your stuff on your side and I’ll keep my stuff on my side.” In no time, her side was piled high while my side was neater than I’d ever kept my room before! Lol When my mom still complained to me, I just said, “Her side, my side.” The funny thing was, when my step-sister decided to move back with her mom, we got along great again! Lol

doesn"t have to be step relationships for this to take place at home. Keeping all things fair between siblings isn’t easy.

Married a woman with 4 kids ( 3 girls 17,12,11 & 1 boy 6) when they got out of hand with each other, I said “Just because you are related to each other ,you should not have to take behavior from you siblings that you would not take from a stranger on the street”
