Enjoy the piggyback rides while you still can. It seems like the blink of an eye going from there to “Daddy, can I use the car?”. They grow up SO fast….
I have a granddaughter who just turned 10 and while I tell myself she’ll never be too big to sit in my lap or take on a piggyback ride, I know that day is coming…and I’m rather dreading it because that’ll mean I’M getting older too.

Leave that to John. Men have broader shoulder and the stamina to carry older children.

“Turn Around” by Malvina Reynolds, preferably Danny Kaye’s version.
