It’s all relative, ladies. When I was 20, I thought anyone over 35 was ancient. When I turned 30, it was nothing for me. When I hit 40, it was “Wait, what?” When 50 came, it was “Bring it on — 50 is the new 30!” And now that I’m 57, I say “Sixty? Bring it!” and consider anyone UNDER 35 to be a mere child!
so what do you oh so proud and bragging exercisers do when a crippling illness, through no fault of your own, takes you down and totally changes your life? thank your stars or whatever, because multiple sclerosis struck me down literally overnite. there is no known cause and no known cure yet. life is now a bowl of cherries. cannot drive, cannot do stairs, everything takes at least 5 time longer than it used to. thankfully my little dog and constant companion does not criticize me like family does. no matter how good your life is today, you never know what is just around the corner.

Ironically, those two ladies’ hairstyles in the final panel are remarkably similar to the hairstyles Connie and Elly will eventually have.

I know a woman who does dog agility (it’s a sport, Google it), which means she jogs around constantly and sprints at times.
She’s 85.

Perhaps if Elle kept her stride a little closer to the ground, she wouldn’t be so out of breath :>)

It’s that they are jogging on pavement that gets me. There is no give in concrete. It’s guaranteed to kill your knees, and feet.
