    It is good to see a comic strip espouse the bartering system. I thought bartering humor was gone after the 19th century, but it lives on in this comic strip.

    That’s assuming that whatever she has lent has not been: a) lost, b) stolen, c) broken, d) loaned to someone else, or e) covertly added to the loanee’s personal collection with the excuse of a), b), c), or d) above.
