Jason: The first week of school and already I'm up late doing math. There is a god. Miss O'Malley? About last night's math homework... Teacher: Yes, Jason? Jason: You said to do problems 11-25, but you didn't say from which chapter. Teacher: I meant chapter one. That's the only one we've covered in class so far. Jason: I see. Well, to be safe, I did problems 11-25 from all 34 chapters. Then I realized you didn't specifically say from which math textbook, so I also did all the problems 11-25 from my sister's geometery textbook. ...And my brother's textbook. ...And my dad's old calculus textbook from college. Oh, wel. I think the stuff you're going to be needing is somewhere near the bottom. Teacher: I think the stuff I'll be needing is at home in the medicine chest.
A teacher ought to be thrilled to get a student as smart as jason. most teachers have to fight tooth and nail to get that much effort out of their students
