Roger: It's nice to know ONE of our kids has a work ethic. Andy: Oh? Roger: Jason just asked me where I keep the leaf blower. He even had a Superman suit on...I guess he wants to do a super job clearing the yard. Gotta love that! Why are you looking at me like I'm a moron? Marcus: We might need to attach a second one. Jason: Are you sure it's set to high?

Eno’s blower has a big advantage over Jason’s: No extension cord. “…there are no strings on me!”
Hugh B. Hayve about 15 years ago
Roger should be used to that look by now.

he deserves it!!
josh_bisbee about 15 years ago
Even if he could fly with it, he wouldn’t get too far before he ran out of cord.
i_am_the_jam about 15 years ago
I wouldn’t be surprised if he lifted off. He can’t even kick a NERF football.

I think that’s part of the gag, Josh.
YatInExile about 15 years ago
Well, we know excessive weight is not the problem.
Ermine Notyours about 15 years ago
Everyone knows you need weather balloons and a lawn chair for this.

You’d think that a kid so god at math could just calculate how many leaf blowers he would need to achieve lift off. He should know this wouldn’t work with just one.

Maybe a hot air balloon powered by Paige’s blow dryer?
Aurion about 15 years ago
Well, either it’ll backfire horribly and wacky airblower hi-jinks will ensue, or it’ll actually work, and our brave young Jason shall at last achieve mankind’s collective dream of being able to soar through the skies with the greatest of ease…
… wait a second, is Marcus standing on the extension cord? Um, Jase, you might wanna think about a parachute, maybe some padding, a last will and testament…
Better question, Roger: has anyone ever looked at you like you weren’t?
r.haza about 15 years ago
when I was a kid I thought that was the way superman flew in the movies

You have a lot to learn about your children, Roger Fox.

@ArthurAllen:
Like Adam Savage of the Mythbusters?

Jason: The Man of Balsa.
kab2rb about 15 years ago
We don’t own one but are leaf blowers hot or do the motors get hot over being used and wouldn’t Jason get his backside hot from the motor trying this stunt?
Wenthral about 15 years ago
You mention Mythbusters, didn’t one of them make a hovercraft out of leafblowers on one of there shows? Get enough of them and this might work.
i_am_the_jam about 15 years ago
And considering Jason has very little body mass to speak of…
Potrzebie about 15 years ago
A company is actually marketing jet-packs. Remember that a millionaire recently flew over the english channel in one.
lalas about 15 years ago
I love FT… but this is one big FAIL! No way Jason would think that a leaf blower would get him off the ground. Every other cartoon has him doing complex mathematical/physical equations…. he’d know that this wasn’t even worth trying.
treBsdrawkcaB about 15 years ago
Come on, Jason! EVERYBODY KNOWS that you have to jump off of the garage roof for this to work! He’ll do the complex math problems while he’s laying in the hospital bed, recuperating…
mezzodiva about 15 years ago
This cracked me up because it is, frame by frame, a snapshot of our family. I always knew I lived with Jason Fox, but this proves it.
@lalas, sometimes the smartest ones have no ability to apply it to common sense!

Watch out! That leaf blower is green!
dfrost1 over 4 years ago
Jason should be light enough, he bounced on the water like a skipping stone.
