Paige: AAAA! My pink blouse is all wrinkly! Andy: I haven't had a chance to do the ironing. Paige: But today is the freshman class photo! I have to wear this blouse! I've been planning this outfit all year! You've ruined my life, now Mother! Are you happy?! Andy: Paige, you can always iron it yourself. Paige: On second thought, my blue blouse is just as cute. Andy: Let's work on having those second thoughts first.

Remember your first apartment when you discovered the ironing wasn’t magically done and somebody forgot to buy toilet paper?

What’s this thing called ironing???
I do have an ironing board around here somewhere. Don’t know if I have an iron or not… If it ain’t Permanent Press, it ain’t welcome in the house!

I have an iron and an ironing board. I sometimes use them to iron on mending tape.
Some hard working chemist labored for years to make permanent press. It would be very disrespectful of chemists to buy clothes that need to be ironed.

learned to “iron” as a teen then discovered permanent press. Immediately dropped “ironing” from my skill set.
