Works kind of the same way in our house, though I am more up front about it than the dad. i will tell one of my kids that mom wanted the trash taken out, would you do that for mom please?
Of course that only works because of setting a good example in the first place.

CLASSIC case of passing the buck, and then taking false credit on top of it. Wonder if Andy hassled Roger earlier in a similar pattern as the first three panels, only with Peter’s name getting mentioned? Wouldn’t surprise me. XD
