Peter: I can't believe you waited to have Thanksgiving dinner with me! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Jason: Call us suckers for spectacle.
Paige: Call us loafers of leftovers.
Andy: Call us your family.
Roger: Wait-today's not Thanksgiving?
and, in a couple of hours, they bundle up and head toward the mall for black friday deals. get those big screen tvs at $100. get those designer shoes at $20. consumerism at its finest.
By the second year I lost count of the number of times I was treatened with legal action or cursed at when some idiot would wander in as late as 2 pm (when the sale ended) and get mad because we were sold out of the limited amount they sent us. It’s really SAD how people out looking for a gift to celebrate the birth of the “Prince of Peace” behaved, and I would never work for a store these days, too many open on Thanksgivng, which is why I also don’t shop those!
