As usual, the man is portrayed as a buffoon. In reality, lots of men are very competent at taking care of things while the wife is away. I’m one of them. But it makes for a good laugh and there’s value in that.

We have room in the barn if he does not mind sharing with an owl and chickens wander through in the morning. And there is an old, but in restoration, GMC motorhome and parts and stuff in there as well. No, you can’t sleep in it.
