“Wherever two or more are gathered in my name, I am there also.”
My Bible doesn’t go on to say that the gathering has to be in an officially-recognized place of worship or that people have to be within 6 feet of each other.
My cousin’s husband underwent surgery. Her neighbor told her, “If they ever let us back in church, I’ll pray for him.”
Our church is still trying to figure out how to do the Eucharist. It is an unsanitary sacrament. I’m thinking along the line of pre-packaged wafers along the line of the crackers you get with soup in a restaurant and perhaps wine-filled capsules that dissolve in stomach acid.
I prefer to dip my host into the wine as a symbolic reunion of the body and blood and therefore Resurrection. I don’t think that’s going to happen except under specific circumstances.
