    My accountant tells me that a volatile stock market is one that fluctuates unpredictably, but I was taught that “volatile’ meant ‘liable to evaporate’.

    Bob Thaves died a couple of years ago. I don’t know if he was shot out of a torpedo tube or not.

    Robert Thaves (October 5, 1924 – August 1, 2006) died of respiratory failure in Torrance, California at the age of 81. His son Tom began collaborating with him on Frank and Ernest in 1997 and has since taken over production of the strip
