"So my dad and I get up and realize neither of us has gotten mom anything for Mother's Day." "We go hauling out to Megamart, but it's out of business because of the new Uberwarehouse, which isn't even built yet." "Again?" "So we stop off for breakfast to wait for the mailto open. Which, big deal, 'cause there's like, all sorts of choices, but nothing we really wanted." "They're like cable TV that way." "Everything downtown was closed. Flower shops were out of stock. We got sidetracked in the bookstore until they kicked us out at closing time." "So, zippo. Meanwhile, my mom had to spend the day home all by herself." "She said it was the best Mother's Day ever." "I think my mom is a good sport." "I think you dad is a good sport."
I think so, too.
