"What am I doing? The freestyle?" "Freestyle just means you can use whatever stroke is fastest." "And that's what this is?" "Yes. The crawl." "The fastest stroke is called the crawl?" "This is a sport that needs help with its marketing." "Well, somebody came up with 'Freestyle.'"
It used to be the “Australian Crawl”. Supposedly a ship came into port, there was a boy out swimming, and someone exclaimed, “Look at the kid crawling!”
