Late 1960’s in Lake Charles – water tower a school’s slogan. Probably 1969.

As a young teen, I got dragged home by the sheriff at 2:30 in the morning, for climbing a water tower…Hey, it was a step up from ringing doorbells….

Wasn’t much into school slogans, but found them to be marvelous places for a leisurely puff of the wacky weed. What stunning views!

Troy NY has the world’s largest and highest elliptical water tower. Nice view, since you can see well beyond Troy. And this was back before it was gentrified.

We didn’t have a water tower, but we did have a wonderful and peaceful spot in the woods for “breaks”.

They tore down our high school’s water tower, probably because it qualified as an “attractive nuisnance”. Every year upper classmen climbed it to hang a freshman in effigy.

In reality they probably got tired of lawsuits from idiotic parents suiing them for the idiotic antics of their offsrping.

It’s strips like this that lend to that old urban legend of the relatedness of Frazz to Calvin.

Did they go over the border? This tower is in Rodney, Ontario. Lol.

This is hilarious ~ reminds me of something my friends and I would do :)
