    Never had a pickled egg….Looks like they’d be awful…But I like panel one a lot….

    Love the symbolism of the one last leaf……I got lucky this year….A big wind blew most of the leaves away…(I lost power for two very cold nights, but that’s another story…)…Then it snowed so I couldn’t even get to the few that were left….BTW, most of the leaves blew underneath the lilac bushes on the side of the yard. But once they get there, they’re not leaves any more….They’re mulch…….

    Love pickled eggs. Ours were always red because you threw them in the same jar with the pickled beets.

    Heat beets, water, vinegar, cinnamon sticks and cloves. Place in glass jar with hard boiled eggs. Let cool then place in refrigerator and forget for about 2 weeks so beets pickle and juices permeate eggs. Then eat and enjoy both.

    When I moved from southern California to the Owens Valley along the eastern sierra, I was overwhelmed the first spring with the smell of lilacs all over town. What a wonderful surprise!

    Beautiful sunny Thanksgiving here in N. Calif. But it comes with a price. We are getting desperate for rain. As for pickled eggs. Yum.

    I’ve never had a pickled egg. I never hope to meet one. But I can tell you anyhow, I’d rather meet than eat one.

    Apparently, rather delicate sorts hereabouts.. PIckled ANYthing in big jars on or behind the bar helps wash the beer down, cheaply and with efficiency. Our great-great grandfathers did it and we must carry on the tradition.What’s to suffer? Chemistry takes time to bubble, and the only thing that suffers (really) is ones bed-mate and the sheets a-covering the source much later, so fill up the juke-box and party on !Uff-DAA !!

    I’ve gotten hooked on Jalapeño pickled eggs. Starts breakfast off with a bang. Don’t care for the Buffalo eggs, tho.
