Boy: Know what's nice? Putting on a shirt fresh and warm out of the dryer. Know what's less nice? Frazz: Scented dryer sheets? Girl: Whoo! Who's all perfumed up for the big date?
Tide recently changed all their scents, and I hate it. (And I don’t use that word lightly.) The scents are too strong, and linger far too long. I’ve switched to Tide “free & gentle” but I think my clothes are not coming as clean.
My mom passed along to me a sweater of hers I really liked. I never was able to get the smell of Downy out of it, even washing it in vinegar, baking soda and anything else I could think of. I finally gave it away.
Fragrance free detergent and hanging the clothes outside for me. In the winter I hang them inside to add a little humidity. (I live alone, so no complaints.)
I don’t like what fabric softener does to the fabric, especially poly fleece — destroys the hand — And ALWAYS hang it to dry, NEVER put fleece in the dryer.
I always put 2 cups of white vinegar in the final rinse water and my clothes have NO perfumey or other scent, just soft, clean, and fresh.
I use unscented detergent, non-chlorine bleach, dryer sheets, hairspray, etc. I don’t like the perfumes conflicting with the minimal amount of cologne I use.
Brings back memories of my youth, sixty-some years ago, when my mom used an old wringer washer and hung the clothes out to dry. In the winter, my dad took the damp clothes to the local laundromat to dry. Still warm sheets and blankets on a cold night were wonderful.

I am confused…they dry the kids clothes at the school? Or does Frazz follow the kids everywhere?

I’ve never met a dryer sheet that gave off that much scent. Must be one heck of a brand!

I don’t like scented clothes, so I use unscented detergent and dryer sheets.

I use unscented detergent and dryer sheets because the ones with dyes and scents give me contact dermatitis.

Unscented detergent, and never saw any sense in dryer sheets. The dryer works just fine by itself.

I use lavender dryer sheets because they make the whole laundry room (a place that can be a bit musky on its own) smell nice.

My golf magazine often comes with scented ads for aftershave or cologne that make me gag. I tear them out first thing.

Have no idea why people want scented laundry items, all they do is raise allergy symptoms.

Wait till they’re in high school. That kid’ll be dousing himself with half a can of Axe every morning.

Dryer sheets contain chemicals that would never be approved for direct application the skin. Best to avoid them altogether.
Never use liquid fabric softeners on your microfiber cleaning cloths. Especially the ones you intend to use on glass.

I like the way line dried clothes feel: somehow more “real” totouch than machine dried.
