In Canada (well, in Ontario) the kids aren’t finished until the end of June. They have almost two weeks left. Although, to be honest, they don’t do a lot in grade school but have sports events and watch movies. High school is likely in the middle of exams.

In Tucson, school let out on May 25… and it starts up again the first week of August. So all these “last week of school” and “first week of school” strips seem around a month late.

I’m certain that she’s thinking that youth is wasted on the young!

We have year-round school here, and students and teachers love it. Nine weeks on, three weeks off, repeat. No time to get bored, no time to forget what you learned.

She’s giving him that look because what he says about June is exactly what she thinks about him… And Frazz is sure he knows it.He’s impatient with a rainy day in June because, unlike, say, one in February, it has the potential to be sunny and beautiful. She’s less patient with his antics than she’d be with some other students because he has the potential to be brilliant.
