    Actually, it kind of depends on the parenting techniques. I’ve heard it bruited that the right way to raise kids is to love them until they turn into a teenager, then put them in a barrel and feed them through the bung-hole. When they attain their majority, you should drive in the bung.

    I used to tell my daughter that when kids reach their teens, their brains melted. But not to worry, they go back to normal after awhile. But when I was a teen, I never slept past 9 a.m. Otherwise I felt like I wasted half the day.

    Life gets infinitely more complicated after you hit twelve. Hormones, attraction, and emotions all spin out of control and a firm but gentle control of the reins is essential. This why I am so amazed at teachers and their haste to “affirm”.
