Time for Mr Dear to launch his own railway. You must be getting tired of the walk to Timmy’s eh Fred?

Hubby had his layout. But he certainly wasn’t about to buy a whistle like that. Sheesh!

When I had a functioning layout I ran the trains to watch them. I was just as much a railfan there as I was out in the sunshine.

Wonder if Timmy also got a Paddington Bear clock with a train that runs around as the second hand?

I like trains. My enjoyment comes from watching them pass by, and riding in them while admiring the scenery. I know nothing about the equipment, but I belong to a railfan group. Some of these people are extremely knowledgeable about trains. They can take one look at an engine and recite its entire history. I love to listen to them.

Why does a stationmaster need a whistle? Who’s it directed at?
