And I’m supposing you call that the rear command. Really Fred! You are bigger than they are. On the other hand, they are probably faster. But still, you should be up there with your buddies. You know, all for one; one for all. Why are in their territory anyway? Why don’t you just avoid it?

It’s okay to be cautious when you have cause…maybe don’t go that way Fred?

A few weeks ago, there was a strip in which Fred and his friends were caught between the Grosvenor Avenue Gang and another pack of dogs. Some commented “Time to get out of Dodge” and I responded by saying that it looked more like the OK Corral on October 7 1881 than Dodge City.

I have since read a book about the American West which reminded me of another point loosely connecting Fred Basset and Wyatt Earp. The Sheriff in Dodge City when Bat Masterson and Wyatt Earp were there was called Charlie Basset.

You guys just need to stay out of their territory. No need to look for trouble.

Shouldn’t you guys be “marking” the territory as your own?

Dogs just have an irresistible urge to roam and rove all over everywhere. Doesn’t matter that it’s dangerous or the “territory” of other dogs – they just HAVE to go there, lol.
