Well, Fred, one person’s higgledy piggledy is another person’s mess. Either way, the shed needs put to rights. Best do it now. Don’t want it sitting there all winter and then come spring facing that mess first off.
I love the term “higgledy-piggledy”! Probably my favorite “Britishism” (I’m in the US). Somehow it seems to so perfectly descriptive of such a situation, but I don’t know what the actual origin of the term is (I visualize it coming from a whole bunch of pigs getting loose and them going every which way).
Reminds me of my godfather’s garage. It is packed full of stuff, but he can always find things. We attended a fiftieth anniversary party for him and his wife some years ago and watched a slide show of their marriage. One photo startled everyone. In the mid sixties, there was an actual car in Uncle Bob’s garage!
