Exhaustion seems to have taken the ‘yip’ right out of Yorky. He is very tired and should sleep well tonight and, for better or worse, be recharged in the morning.

Time for Mr. or Mrs. Dear to carry Yorky. He’s exhausted.

You will have to look far and wide to find an exhausted Yorkie. My dads Yorkies wore me into the ground every time.

But he’s less than half the size, so he has less weight to move.

My recently deceased wife and I had 2 Chihuahua’s and a Catahoula Leopard dog we used to walk. The male Chihuahua walked for a very short period before I ended up carrying him, the female went a lot farther before she needed carried. Sadly they are all gone now too, all in the last 20 months.

My wife complains about me walking faster than she can because her legs are shorter, but she could never keep up with our dachshunds, either. They DID move their legs more often.

I live in an apartment building for the elderly and disabled. There is a nice big lawn area where residents can walk their dogs. Many of the residents, like me, use walkers. It’s fun to see those who have dogs walking out with the doggies tugging on their leashes, so excited to go outside. On return, many of the dogs are now riding on the walkers!
