Fred, your household isn’t the only one. When I was a kid, my mother did the same thing. Snooze.

If I wanted to eat junk food, I’d stop at a fast food place.

I was thinking yesterday of varying my dog’s diet a bit. I home cook her meals with supplements, but a slight change might brighten up her day, lol!

Here’s a thought sir; if you’d like something different, jump on over to the kitchen and make something wonderful, or offer to take her out for dinner! There is no sensor in the kitchen that expels males; the stove is not gender-selective.

I try not to judge on menu schedules; since we don’t know what else she does on Wednesday, or the state of the grocery budget at that point of the week, something simple and/or cheap just might be the best fit.

Fish on Friday, steak on Sat, and fried chicken on Sunday… Mom was set in her ways – we wanted hot dogs and hamburgers though…

Hey, if Thursday is Prince Spaghetti Day, why can’t Wed. be Mac-‘n’-cheese Day?

The Daily Cartoonist website today reports that “Fred Basset comics are reruns right now because the artist who has been drawing them since 1991, Michael Martin, has retired. The copyright holder, Arran Keith, is currently looking for a new artist to continue the strip. In the meantime, they are running reruns of old strips.” We’ll see what happens.

On Sundays we plan lunches and suppers for the week and both of us are capable cooks/bakers. Not too many surprises, though.

I do most of the cooking; my wife, with some input from me, does most of the menu planning. If we think of something we like but ate recently (in the last two or three weeks), we usually have the same response: “Didn’t we just have that?” And it goes on the “some other time” list.

Based on that, I’d never make my homemade macaroni and cheese once a week — especially since I always make enough to last for two or three meals.
