Fred, you have NO idea how exhausting sitting in an office can be. Heading off disasters, being pummeled with questions, rushing to meet deadlines, trying desperately not to choke a co-worker because they’re to dumb to breathe because they did the exact.opposite of what you asked them to do. Yes, exhausting.

How about, “I’m so glad to see you after my terrible day, Fred. Scoot over and snuggle with me.”

Fred, better lay low and hope Mr. Dear will find out rather later than soon about your digging under the shed. You might have to fetch a sausage for him! He won’t be amused. Perhaps you could say Big Bruce came over and did it?

He’s mentally exhausted, Fred. It’s a thing. I used to experience it a lot until I left that job.

The man’s entitled to his chair Fred. I hate it when dogs climb onto beds and chairs. Those are people’s places. Go to your pet chair or dog house.
