My Swiss Army knife has tweezers, but my dogs are more likely to get half of an acorn shell stuck on a toe. Lots of oak trees, squirrels and acorn shells here.
I’m on Fred’s side here – my Mom used to try and dig splinters out with a needle, so I know that the removal can hurt just as much as the thorn! Once I started carrying a pocket knife, I took care of my own splinters, and it never hurt nearly as much. Too bad poor Fred can’t use tweezers on his own, but maybe he can pull it out with his teeth.

Just pull it out with your fingers ! I’ve had to do that for my dog ;-)

I just love it when the comic strips start going on vacation. But Fred has, by far, some of the most interesting vacations.

Tweezers would work better! Definitely not pins! Or take him to the vet!

dog paws are so sensitive I can see why he chose the pain he knows to the pain he fears

Fred can move really fast when he has to. When you all get home, Mr. and Mrs. Dear will use tweezers to get that nasty thorn out.

We always take a first aid kit for the doggos when they get taken for a walk.

I don’t blame Fred from bolting would not want Mr. Dear poking around my paw with a safety pin
