I got two Viet Nam campaign ribbons because our ship left the theater of battle to meet with a tender to refuel. I guess we were gone 24 hours. We were only in Viet Nam for a month. Then we got deployed to complete the cruise to which another ship had been assigned. To sail around the Indian Ocean visiting various countries and making our presence known to the USSR. Then we went around various ports in Africa, around the cape and up the west coast of Africa, then back to the US.

Cops are so egotistical…
