“Turnpike Proved.” Several ads like that turned up on eBay (people will pay for vintage ads? Go figure). Goodyear says it test drove its tires on the Ohio Turnpike, where the driving conditions would have been the same as a regular highway.

My guess is that the sailor on the left waited until the last frame to kiss the sailor on the right in order to embarrass him. and let’s get those hats squared away!

Has anyone else noticed that Vlad’s command of English is eerily similar to the crocs’ over at Pearls Before Swine?

P.S. This is my passive-aggressive way of responding to the “Free Legal Documents” post yesterday.

My French instructor is from Côte D’Ivoire, and asked us the other night what we thought of kissing cheeks vs. hugging. Being Americans, we thought proper hugging was less aggressive. He said he preferred hugs, because they give more contact. When kissing cheeks, there’s always a distance between bodies.

It’s not a TENDRIL, but if you like spiral plant thingies, here’s a nice Fragile Fern Fiddlehead.I’ll include a bigger version of this or a similar one in a show and tell of nature photographs.

I think she is still graceful looking. As I get older I find that the beauty I did not appreciate in older women in my youth, I now see. The lines thought of as wrinkles, i see as character that develops with life’s various experiences.
