JAUARY 1-6, is recouperation time from all of the festivities and plan on the coming year, which is coming too fast.

Back to school on the 6th? (Says nothing about politics…)

Floof is loving her cuddles. Her adoring look says so much. I love cuddle kitties.

The traditional 12 days of Christmas is December 25th to January 5th , then January 6th is Epiphany.

We always went back to school on the 2nd unless it was a weekend.

I hope we see Mrs. Oldman and Buster during the season. I enjoy all the characters in this strip.

On January 6, she has an epiphany. Hopefully during her morning meal. I do enjoy breakfast epiphanies!

It depends on the country, and State in the case of the USA. I believe in the USA it may still be after New Year’s. In Mexico and most of the Spanish-speaking world it is also after January 6th, since in that day the epiphany is celebrated and that is the day when the kids (supposedly) get their gifts from the “The Three Kings” (the magi mentioned in the Bible). Christmas is still very much tied to Catholic customs in Spain, Latin America and the Philippines, so while not every day is celebrated, they do still observe the “12 days of Christmas” plus in the case of Mexico and the Philippines they have Advent customs as well. In the case of Mexico are the prechristmas gatherings (parties basically) known as “Las Posadas”.

I wish winter would end on January 6. I am already tired of being cold outside. (early winter weather makes me crabby-cold)

Today is the one year anniversary of the day I brought my fur babies home from the shelter. It has been a great year!

Nancy, have Sirius stuffed toys made and I would buy one!
