I saw an indie movie similar to this back in the 60s. A guy was fishing and really bringing them in; a little later he finds a picnic basket on the beach. Seeing nobody around, he looks inside and pulls out a big sandwich and starts chomping on it then a hook penetrates his cheek and a line drags him out to sea.
