We always fed our cats right before going to bed, so we didn’t have this problem. I did have one cat who would wait for the alarm to go off, and then she would crawl under the covers with me and snuggle for about 5 minutes. Better than a snooze alarm.

Dash has food available, but still puts that one little claw in my body as soon as it starts to get light, or 6am, whichever comes first.
