Jon: Look, Garfield. We still have a clean bowl. We won't have to do the dishes for another week! Garfield: Yessss!
I had a friend who accused me of just letting the cats lick the dishes clean and putting them back in the cabinet. The truth is I always hand-wash using HOT water (wearing rubber gloves). The one time she decided to surprise us by washing our dishes, we could tell that she used cold (or at least cool) water, and she didn’t even bother rinsing the soap off well; there were still soap rings on the plates!
