Awkward! There was no winning that train of thought, Byrd! If she looked worse, you dissed her efforts. If she looked better, you dissed who she really is. Why do we do this to men??? lol
Walt’s real caretaker is Jim Scancarelli, so I’m pretty confident that he’s doing just fine. Although we’ve been sitting here for weeks, Walt’s probably been in the theater for an hour tops.
Just thinking how appropriate it is that there are no other people in the strip today - no manager, no audience. Even though they’re off to a rocky start, if Byrd and Gertie are in love, everything else would fade away in such a high-intensity, hopeful moment like this. Been there, loved that. :0)
As I said last night:
If any of you GA fans would like to read the strip in the days when Walt first found Skeezix… I see that Bud Plant has Walt & Skeezix HC Volume 1 for just $9.99!!
He liked you as you were Gertie so the wig was a mistake. As for them fighting inside the first minute well isn’t that how they got their start in the first place? It’s true love! LOL!
Hey, give the wig a break. She didnt wear it for Byrd, she wore it for herself, so that she could feel gussied up. She ought to know ole Byrd isnt used to it. A woman shouldnt spring something on a man like that without warning. If she does she should at least be ready to give us a chance to get used to it. This isnt Gerties first ride on the Merry-go-round of love, she should be expecting Byrd’s reaction.
NotNorman - sorry dude, I dont think you’re cool enough to use the word ‘beyotch’. Next you’ll be calling people ‘dawg’ and wanting to know ‘word, what up?’ Stick to the 1930’s jargon, it’s what you do best. Peace out, dude.
NotNorman, I believe the word is spelled biatch (just for future reference) and I was stunned to see someone in this forum complain about the pace of GA being too fast! (“… zero to beyotch in one panel”) You made my day! :0)

Careful, Gertie, with that kind of attitude your making yourself not look so good.

I sure hope Walt hasn’t wandered off again. Or if he has it’s too the comic characters rest home.

Gertie has a right to be ticked off. After all, she spent a week or more in the department store.

Not Norman, how many women have shown you the door? Is that why you’re so bitter against women in general?
