If it’s a cat food commercial, why is Rufus licking his chops? …Never mind, I don’t think I want to know…

Mouse flavored cat food? I’ve seen cats hunt mice and kill them, but never have seen them actually eat mice.

Has anyone else had a different experience?

BUZZDOG My cats eat mice to the head, then leave that as a trophy. They only kill moles and leave the whole darned thing on the step because I guess moles don’t taste good.

Maybe Earl is doing the soundtrack for the commercial.

Buzzdog, my cat Stan once devoured a mouse right in front of me and it was something I was glad I only had to watch once (with the crunching and the smacking and the stain on the floor gahoyven). The experience was further enhanced when the mouse made its reappearance a few minutes later.

This still isn’t the Wallet clan and isn’t as interesting and Gertie and Byrd or the mistaken identity pastor.

I also didn’t get the Sunday comic nor was I able to find it.

If you go to the top of this page and click on the little golden calendar to the right of the date, it will bring up the calendar for December. Then click on December 6 and it will take you to Sunday’s Gasoline Alley strip on Go Comics.

If you still can’t find Sunday’s Gasoline Alley strip at Go Comics - you can always go to

    COMIC STRIP NATION at http://www.comicstripnation.com/

Comic Strip Nation has a comics archive which goes back to APRIL of 2008. You do NOT need too purchase a special membership to check in on the archives at Comic Strip Nation.

My cat was a terrific mouser and I was always happy when he bagged one of the little varmints! My cat would eat everything except the bile. He always left the bile. (Which is VERY smart!). He also frequently bagged game which was bigger than he was. He would not only bag the game, but he would climb the tallest tree which he could get to and leave the carcass up in the branches. Unfortunately, the birds would ALSO discover his catch - and nibble away at it all day. By the time he returned to dine on his catch, there was usually not a lot left up in the tree!

I just remembered the name of my kindergarten teacher.

Her name was “Miss Benton”, but the class just called her “Miss Benton”.

Joe, I have to know - how did you get to CPT Brown, Vietnam and Maury from the comic and/or the comments? It’s so seemingly random, I just want to know where it came from. Did you just type the thought as it occurred to you, or did something someone said remind you of that fact? Honest question.

Joe, I follow your train of thought, from “Meowrice” to “Maurice” to “Maury.” By the way, I used to go to a place called Maury’s Deli on Wednesdays because that was the one day they had “Maury Burgers.” Those consisted of a very tasty meat-loaf, on egg-bread with mustard.
