The cruelty goes on..Since it ain’t Friday or Saturday, surely this is going to drag out for at least the rest of this week. And we already know from the show that Nina is going to be jealous of these women..And so far, she gets away with what she did to Skeezix (making him go to this show for his own humiliation), what she did to Frank Nelson (looks like assault to me), not to mention, crashing the show on counterfeit tickets….And now, this!.Wait a minute! Why not call Dick Tracy? Right now, he’s fresh out of bad guys to chase (see today’s Dick Tracy); maybe he can straighten out this mess!.Wacko wacko wacko!.(with apologies to Fozzy Bear)
There were several radio adaptations of the strip. “Gasoline Alley” during the 1930s starred Bill Idelson as Skeezix with Jean Gillespie as Nina Clock. Could she be the Jean mentioned by Nina in today’s strip?
In real life Skeezix could not have been hypnotized, and if he could, he would have my sympathy if he filed for legal separation from Nina. Frank Nelson would be the victim of assault, and Nina would be arrested. In real life it is not funny to make your spouse, friend, companion, etc a laughing stock. This comic strip is fiction, the only place where such behavior is permissible and funny.

If this is the end of the story & if Nina leaves it alone, then then is a good conclusion to the current story!

Nina probably did meet Trixie, since Trixie attended Nina and Skeezix’s wedding http://tinyurl.com/kkzyyzk
