Rufus, her just letting her dog maul you for no reason is a good enough reason to chunk he newly-fed ass out the door. And sic the cats on the dog, they love Rufus and will protect him.
Please, for the sake of the Almighty, put that biting animal in a pet cab before Rufus ends up naked and this strip loses it “G” rating! (And its loyal reader…me!)
At this point, I fully expect Melba to show up unexpected to tell Rufus what a wonderful night she had, see Willow there, misunderstand Rufus’ basic decency and there’s our next story arc. Willow is obviously a grifter of sorts and has no interest in Rufus, but Melba won’t stick around long enough to see that he’s being conned the way she just was.

Okayyyyyyy … the (seemingly) sly side-look she does in Panel 3, complete with her cheeks beginning to look a little plump does indicate a lot! >:(
