Kids love to play with fake money. Was any Monopoly gave safe in a house where children lived? My boys ruined two games when they were little. I gave up keeping a game around.
There was a similar story arc many years ago, in which a crook asked Rover, who was a little boy at the time, to pick a lock. He then stole the money, and locked Rover and Grandma Lil inside. Rover was able to dig his way out, and get help.
There is a news story from the late 1960s: At a zoo, some orangutans escaped their enclosure. Below their exhibit was some zoo was one of the zoo’s HVAC rooms. It had a door that opened to the moat that kept them in the enclosure. They used a louvered vent to reach the door, opened the door, entered the HVAC room, and found their way out. The head zookeeper was going to fire whoever it was that left that door unlocked.
But, the orangutans escaped again, even after it was verified the door had been locked. It turned out one of the orangutans, named Fu Manchu, had found a wire, and had been using it to jimmy the lock.
