The oldest person in the world died recently and she was almost 119, entering this world in 1904. Isn’t it time for Walt to quietly leave the strip? From a recently posted 1922 strip, Frank King pegged Walt as having been born in 1892. There is no longer anybody who was born in the 19th century or anybody who served in World War I yet Walt is both. King created the uniqueness of this strip by having characers age and face the different challengs that face people at different points in their lives which allowed readers to relate to the story lines. It’s not much of a stretch to speculate that King wouldn’t be too happy with what Jimbo has done to his wonderful strip. The last few stories have been especially awful. Too bad that this is the best that JIm can do.

Did the three of them rehearse that, to be able to say it in unison? I don’t think that’s something kids nowadays would say.
Gad, the one in the middle is hideous.

I’m confused. Didn’t he want to leave? Or was he threatening to leave so Santa would give him a raise, and now he’s sad that Santa called his bluff?
