Hard to say for sure, but I dunno about ‘crispness in the air’ when you’re inside of an enclosed mall. At least I don’t *think you’d have an escalator operating out in the elements.

So I called time when deadline came around, so it’s a mini-update for the 10th.
Chug-Chug Kelly continues to get catered to as if he were Neil Armstrong just back from an extended trip, though I wonder whatever became of the aardvark. Skeezix and Fracas decide to head out for the golf course… in mid December? That would have been much rarer in the midwest back in the early 70s. Hugo attends to his backyard squirrel feeder.
The mall around here closed years ago due to lack of interest. It was a brand new gleaming gem when it opened in ’85 and by early 2000s was breathing its last gasp.
After stores that sold CDs went extinct in my area, there was no longer a reason for me to go to the mall. I go to one occasionally to pick up my Apple Store order. Most of the stores seem to be clothing or fashion related
I have a shopping mall within 2 miles of where I live. When I first moved here in 1996, the crowds there were nearly shoulder-to-shoulder during the Christmas shopping season. Today it’s like a ghost town.

300 stores? That’s nothing compared to the Mall Of America. Yes, I’ve been there.

The Mall of America in Minnesota has more stores than that!
