Once knew a girl whose surname was Keem. Naturally enough, her nickname was “Peachy”.

What’s brilliant is Darby thinking ahead and not naming his strip after one of its main characters. Otherwise he would have had to change “Get Bucky” to “Get Steve” for the current arc.

It is strange that Rob had to think about that response for a second.

Nicknaming people is characteristic of controlling behavior. If you like your nickname, fine, but you don’t have to respond to insults.

Bucky looks so cute with his big blue eyes in panel 2-Too bad Rob doesn’t have a cat loving relative that drops in occasionally and gives Bucky hugs and pets- it would be hilarious to see how he reacts.

Or Steve could change Bucky’s moniker to “the thing in the closet”.
