Uh… “Today’s lift-a-thon will ensure football and other programs are funded annually” Does the writer/letterer know what annually means? That means on-going. Did they raise so much they started an endowment, and the interest on the endowment will be enough to fund the programs annually? That’s a heck of a lot of money. Did they raise so many millions that a portion of the principal can be doled out annually over years to come? Were they working to fund next year’s football programs (since this year’s is over)? Funding the program for the coming school year isn’t the same as annually.
