Stop it summation point I hate it when you do this! Never confuse telling people what you think with telling them what they want to hear.
Yeah, I had a college prof who told us he wanted to see some original thoughts on the midterm, not just a regurgitation of his lectures. So I turned in a paper with some original thoughts and got a not-ok grade. For the final, I regurgitated his lectures and got an A.
